Define Morphogenesis, Vernalisation, Overall Senescence
Morphogenesis:
This term is coined for the process leading to & determining the form & structure of organs. It is used mainly by experimental morphologists.
Vernalization:
Some plants flower only after passing a winter season. They require exposure to cold. In mild winter, they do not flower. The cold treatment given flower induction is called vernalization.
Overall Senescence:
It is a type of aging in which the aerial parts of a plant die where as the underground parts survive. This system is a special type of adoption in which the plants can overcome the adverse condition of the environment. For eg: Potato.
